Associating a data slicing rule to users

A data slicing rule can be associated with one or more users added in the application.

To associate a data slicing rule with user(s),
  1. Access the End Application.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner.



  3. Click on Data Slicing Rules under the USERS & CONTROL sections.



  4. Hover over the name of the data slicing rule you want to associate. For this illustration, the data slicing rule First Floor is selected.



  5. Click the ellipsis (...) icon that appears and select Associate Users.



  6. Select the users for whom the rule must be associated and click Next.



  7. Verify the selected users and click Confirm.

The data slicing rule will now be associated with the selected users.

Alternatively, you can associate the data slicing rule to users from the details page.

To delete a data slicing rule from the details page,
  1. Click on the name of the data slicing rule you want to edit.  For this illustration, the data slicing rule First Floor is selected.




  2. Select the Associated Users tab.



  3. Click Assign Users.



  4. Select the users for whom the rule must be associated and click Next.



  5. Verify the selected users and click Confirm.

     
The data slicing rule will now be associated with the selected users.

You can also select a location property rule type in the Location Rule field and a module property rule type in the Module Property field when adding a user or editing a user in the application.
