Adding a custom datapoint group in the developer application

New datapoint groups to meet the specific requirement of the user can be created and added to the the Zoho IOT application.

To create a custom datapoint group in the developer application,
  1. Access the Developer Application.
  2. Select Datapoint Group in the left pane.



  3. Click on Add New Datapoint Group.



  4. Select Create From Scratch and click Next.



  5. Provide a name for the datapoint group in the Name field, and a description of the datapoint group if required. For this illustration, the name My Custom Datapoint Group is provided.



  6. Click Add.



The datapoint group will now be added to the application. You can add realtime datapoint templates (without computations) to this group and  they can be used when configuring managed entity models.
