Adding datapoints and datapoint templates

Datapoint templates are added/imported to a model, and the device, asset, or location instance created based on the corresponding models will include them as datapoints. Datapoint templates can also be added to a model after instances are created, applying them to all derived instances.

These are the following ways datapoints and datapoint templates can be add in the Zoho IOT application.
  1. Importing datapoint templates in a model

  3. Importing datapoint template in a custom device product
  4. Adding a custom datapoint template to a model in the developer application

Managing datapoints and datapoint templates

Once a datapoint or datapoint template has been added the following operations can be done to manage them.
  1. Editing a datapoint template
  2. Editing a datapoint
  3. Disabling a datapoint
  4. Disabling a datapoint template
  5. Deleting a datapoint template
  6. Deleting an instance specific datapoint
  7. Marking a datapoint template applicable/not applicable
