You can disassociate a device product from a device model.
Device Product Dependency: When device instances are created based on a combination of a specific device model and device product, the device product becomes a dependency for these instances. These device instances must be removed from the end application before you can disassociate the device product from its corresponding device model.
All Device operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.
To associate a custom device product to a model,
Access the Developer Application.
Select Device in the left pane.
Access the device model's information page by clicking on the name of the device model. For this illustration, the device model: Energy Meter is considered.
Select Supported Products in the left pane.

You can toggle between Grid View and List View.
For Grid view,
Hover over the product icon you want to disassociate. For this illustration, the device product Arduino PLC is considered.
Click the vertical ellipsis icon that appears.
Select Disassociate from the drop-down list. 
Click Check Dependencies in the Product Disassociation Validation pop-up.
Click Disassociate in the Remove Product pop-up.
For List view,
Select the check box next to the product you want to disassociate.
Click the Disassociate button that appears. 
Click Check Dependencies in the Product Disassociation Validation pop-up.
Click Disassociate in the Remove Product pop-up.
The selected device product will now be disassociated from the device model.
