Prerequisite
Before proceeding with this document, please ensure you have read the following prerequisite materials to fully understand the concepts discussed here:
Adding a device using device product gallery
Zoho IoT's Device Product Gallery offers a comprehensive list of officially verified and supportable devices across various vendors and use cases, which can be directly onboarded into the application. Simply import these products, assign them to a model or create a model based on them, and create a device instance.
All Device operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.
To add a device using the device gallery(devices),
Access the End Application.
Select Devices > Devices in the left pane.
Click on Add Device.
Choose Add Using Product Gallery and click Proceed.
- Select your device product. For this illustration, Raspberry Pi 4 is selected.

If you have added your own device product, select My Products to view the list of added devices.

In the device product's information page, click Import and Proceed.
In the device addition form, determine the model you wish to use:
If it's your first time accessing the application or you have not added any model in the application, you will only have the Model field. Entering the Model Name will create a new device model with that name.
If you had already added a device model, you will have a toggle option
Toggle to Create new model if you wish to associate a new device model with the product. Entering the model name will create a new model with the given name.
Toggle to Use Existing Model if you have previously added a model(s) and select the required Model.
Provide the necessary details in the required field. For this illustration, the information provided is for adding a Raspberry Pi 4 device with a device model called Home Gateway.
Learn more about each
field.
Click Proceed. A new device will be added to the application. Click View Device, and you will be redirected to the device's information page.

Proceed with the Onboarding Assistant for guided help in onboarding your device.
