Device Action: Unmanage/Manage
A device can be deactivated by unmanaging it, which terminates the connection, stops data collection, and disables alarm rules.Conversely, managing the device will reactivate these functions.
All Device operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.To unmanage/manage a device,
- Access the End Application.
- Select Devices > Devices in the left pane.
- Click on the name of the Device you want to manage/unmanage. This opens the Device's information page. For this illustration, we will be using the device: My RPi.
- Click on Actions.
- Select Manage/Unmanage from the drop-down list.
Note: The option to unmanage will be available if the device is currently active, whereas the option to manage will appear if the device is inactive. - Click Manage/Unmanage in the device alert pop up.

The device will now be unmanaged or managed as per the option selected.
