Device Relation: Multiple Assets, Locations, and Devices

You can assign a single device as the connected gateway to multiple assets, locations, or peripherals from the device details page.

All Device operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.

To relate multiple assets to a device,

1. Access the End Application.
2. Select Devices > Devices in the left pane.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the name of the Device you want to be the connected gateway. This opens the Device's information page. For this illustration we will be using the device: My RPi.
   
   
   
   
4. Select the Relations tab.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Assign in the Connected Asset Section to assign assets to the device.
   

   
   

   
   

   
   

   Note: Click Assign in the connected location section to relate locations, and click Assign in the Connected Peripheral Devices section to relate peripheral devices.
6. Choose the Assets for which you want to assign the device as the connected gateway and click Next.
   
   
   
   
7. Verify if all the required assets have now been selected and click Confirm.
   
   

The assets, locations, or peripheral devices will now be associated to the device by the connected gateway field.
