Editing Device Details

After a device is added to the application, you can edit it to change some of the details such as Name, Description, Data interval, Edge Key, etc.

AlertAll Device operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.


To edit a device,

  1. Access the End Application.

  2. Select Devices > Devices in the left pane. This will open the device list view.



  3. Select the box near the device name you want to edit. For this illustration, we will change the name of device: My RPi to  RPi Room Gateway.



  4. Click the Edit button that appears. This opens the edit device instance form.



  5. Make the necessary changes.



  6. Click Update.

The changes made will now be updated in the device.


Bulk Update and Delete

To perform Bulk Update,
    1. Select the checkboxes against the devices that you want to update.
    2. Click the Bulk Update button on the top.



    3. Select the property which you want to update, and provide the value.



    4. Click Bulk Update to update the value for all the selected devices.

To perform Bulk Delete,
    1. Select the checkboxes against the devices that you want to delete.
    2. Click the Delete button on the top. The check dependency screens are displayed.
       If there are no dependencies for the devices the delete confirmation screen is displayed.
    3. Click Delete in the confirmation screen. The devices will be deleted.
