This built-in functionality allows you to send data based on specific conditions or business logic. The data can be transmitted in various formats to the configured webhook URL.
Schedules is also a built-in functionality that allows you to execute your business logic periodically or at defined intervals. Here, you can include a custom function to call REST APIs of Zoho IoT or external service/application to send or receive data and achieve the requirement.
This is one of the types of custom functions supported in Zoho IoT. Unlike other custom functions which are triggered by alarm rules, notification profiles, workflow, or schedules. This can be triggered on demand by Rest APIs. Users can write business logic in the custom function which can be used for sending or fetching data from Zoho IoT by executing this custom function via REST API. The function executes within the Zoho IoT application and returns data based on the defined business logic.
The Endpoint devices option in device addition helps to receive periodical data from third-party applications like metric, telemetry, measurement, etc. in json format. This data is treated as a datapoint in Zoho IoT. When creating the end point device, you must provide the endpoint URL and authentication details.
For example, the weather info that is required for IoT app. This data needs to be got every one hour and can be used for validation and comparison, and analytical predictions.
