Understanding Overview Dashboards

Overview Dashboard in Zoho IOT application is a specialized dashboard for individual Devices, Assets, and Locations. It provides a consolidated display of relevant information and metrics related to the respective entity, offering a focused and comprehensive view of the entity's performance.

For example, consider an asset called Assembly Line T1. Parameters and metrics like Run Time, Connection Status, Runtime for the Day, Total Units Produced for the Day, Total Defects produced for the Day, Defect Rate every hour, and Defect Rate every week for that particular assembly line can be visualized in the overview dashboard. This provides a focused and detailed analysis specific to the Assembly Line T1.

Relationship with Datapoints

When configuring the Overview dashboard, you can utilize the source datapoints of Devices, Assets, and Locations, along with the datapoints from related managed entities.

All widgets available in the global dashboard are also available for the overview dashboard.

Configuring Overview Dashboards

Overview Dashboards can be configured in the Device Model, Location Model, and Asset Model and as well as directly in a devices, asset and location's Information Page. Overview dashboard arrangements are two-way synchronous, meaning any changes made will be reflected accordingly across the model and all other instances based on the model.

Instance-specific overview dashboard can have unique widget configurations tailored to the entity's needs.

Difference Between Overview Dashboard and Global Dashboard.

Provides a focused view of metrics and information related to a specific device, asset, and location Only data points from the particular device, asset, or location can be used.
