Adding Overview Dashboards
You can add an overview dashboard as a template at the model level. When configured as a template, the overview dashboard is automatically available for all device, asset, or location instances created based on that model.
You can also create instance specific overview dashboards. These dashboards are available only for the selected device, asset, or location instance.

Time Selection
Time Selection controls what aggregated data is displayed across the entire dashboard.
When Time Selection is enabled, all widgets in the dashboard display aggregated values for the selected time period. Individual widget level aggregation is disabled, ensuring a consistent aggregation across the dashboard. For example, when Time Selection is set to Today, all widgets display values aggregated for today, such as total fuel consumed, total energy generated, and average oil pressure for the day.
When Time Selection is disabled, widgets can display realtime values, and each widget can independently apply its own aggregation logic, if configured.
The aggregation period of an individual widget, or of a dashboard with Time Selection enabled, can be changed to view the corresponding aggregated values.

Enabling Instance Overview Dashboard
An instance dashboard is available only for a particular device, asset, or location instance and is not added to the model. For example, if a model named Diesel Generator has two instances, DG001 and DG002, the overview dashboard template provides the same set of widgets for each instance, displaying their specific values. In contrast, an instance dashboard for DG001 can include widgets, patterns, and layouts that are unique only to it.
To enable an instance specific dashboard,
In the Developer Application, go to the model (device, asset, or location) on which the instance is based. For example, to enable the instance dashboard for DG001, access the Diesel Generator asset model in the developer application.

Scroll down and select Model Settings from the left pane.

Enable Instance Specific Overview Dashboard and click Save.

Click Refresh in the banner to apply the updated settings across the application.

Access the End Application.

Navigate to the information page of the required instance (device, asset, or location). For this example, the DG001 asset is selected. The DG001 instance is based on the Diesel Generator model where the settings were updated. If an instance is based on a different model, ensure that the settings are enabled in the corresponding model.

Select the Overview tab.

Toggle to Instance Dashboard.

Click Dashboard Actions and select Edit Dashboard.

You can now add widgets to this instance dashboard. The widgets and layout apply only to the selected instance.

Click Save.
