Editing an overview dashboard in the end application

Overview Dashboard in a device, asset, or location instance can be edited to add new widgets, remove or resize existing widgets.

All overview dashboard operations require necessary permissions. Refer user profiles document for more details.

Any changes made to the Overview Dashboard of an instance will be automatically reflected in the Overview Dashboard template of the model on which the instance is based. Additionally, these changes will propagate across all other instances that are based on the same model, ensuring uniformity.

To edit an overview dashboard in the end application,

Access the End Application.
Select Devices > Devices in the left pane. You can select Assets to edit the overview dashboard in an asset or Location to edit the overview dasboard in a location.
Click the name of the device with the overview dashboard you want to edit. This opens the device's information page. For this illustration, the device: Smart Fan is considered.
Select the Overview tab in the instance's information page.
Click on the Overview Dashboard selector field in the top.
Select the Overview Dashboard you want to edit.
Click the pencil icon. This will open the dashboard builder.
Add/Remove/Resize/Reconfigure the required widgets.
Click Save.

The changes made to the overview dashboard will now be updated.
