Enable WAN in TRB246

Enable WAN in TRB246

With Edge Lite installed and connection credentials updated, we can now configure the TRB246 to connect to the internet through the WAN port. The TRB246 has a single port that functions as both LAN and WAN. During the Edge Lite installation, this port was used as a LAN port. Once the connection details are updated and the agent restarts, it needs internet access. To enable this, convert the LAN port to a WAN port and connect it to a router to allow the TRB246 to access the internet.
Notes
Note: If you are connecting the TRB246 to the internet using a cellular network (SIM), you can skip this step.
Notes
Note: After changing the port mode from LAN to WAN, you will not be able to access the TRB246 device directly through your Mac/PC’s LAN port. Follow the steps in the Accessing through WAN section to regain access to the web interface of your TRB246.
