Can I change the chosen email address of a user?

You can change the email address of a user by creating the required email address as email alias. Once the alias is created, you can make this as the default email address for the user. 
  1. Log into Zoho Mail Admin Console as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Users on the left pane and select the user to whom you want to add an email alias.
  3. Select Mailbox Settings and select Email Alias.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Create the required email address as alias.
  6. Click Add.
After you create an email alias, follow these steps to change the alias as Mailbox address:
  1. Hover over the alias address that you want to make as the mailbox address.
  2. Select Set as mailbox address and click Change in the pop-up window that appears.

You can optionally remove the older email address associated with the account, if you no longer need it. 
Note: Only organization users will be able to change the email address. This is not applicable to personal account users.
