How to set up sync with Zoho Contacts

Zoho Contacts is an online contact management software for managing your business contacts. Integrating Zoho Marketing Automation with Zoho Contacts will allow you to sync contacts from Zoho Contacts and send campaigns to them.

Set up a sync   

  1. Click Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen, then click Apps under Integrations.

  2. Click Connect Apps on the top right corner.
  3. Click Zoho Contacts and click Connect.
  4. Select a mailing list if required to which you intend to sync the contacts. All the synced contacts will be available in the selected list as well as in the All contacts module of Zoho Marketing Automation.
  5. Select a topic if required to associate your contacts with a relevant topic you intend to communicate with them.
  6. Select a lawful basis. This option will be available only if you've opted to comply with GDPR in your Zoho Marketing Automation account settings.
  7. Select sync time. The first sync will be initiated and contacts will be synced immediately as soon as you initiate the sync. For subsequent syncs, contacts will be synced periodically at the selected sync time.
  8. Click Initiate.

Note: Zoho Marketing Automation will automatically map the fields of your contacts already available in Zoho Contacts. Once you have set up the sync, you can view the fields that have been mapped.

View mapped fields 

  1. Click Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen, then click Apps under Integrations.
  2. Navigate to Pre-mapped fields tab. Here you can view all the fields that have been mapped from Zoho Contacts.

 View sync history 

  1. Click Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen, then click Apps under Integrations.
  2. Navigate to Sync history tab. Here you can see a detailed view of your webinar list:
    1. Sync time - The time at which the sync was performed.
    2. Total records - Total number of contacts synced at the given time.
    3. Added -  Number of new contacts added at the given time.
    4. Updated - Number of existing contacts updated.
    5. Skipped - Number of contacts not synced since they didn't match the sync criteria.

You can export your skipped contacts as a .csv file by clicking the export icon next to the skipped value.
