It is advised to include a tracking code snippet in the Landing Page URL while setting up the Smart URL for generating user reports. Failure to do so will restrict the Smart URL application from tracking visitor data for generating the visitor reports.

To create a Smart and shortened URL:

1. Select Website Analytics from the left pane and click Smart URL.
2. Click Create Smart URL.
3. Give a Name for your smart URL.
4. Specify the Landing page URL. This is the page where the visitors will be taken to. Landing pages should be registered with web analytics to get tracked.
5. Click on the Source dropdown and select a source for your smart URL. You can add custom sources as well.
6. Your Medium Will be auto-filled.
7. Name the campaign you want your Smart URL to link to.
8. Enter campaign keywords in the Campaign term text field. This helps in keyword tracking.
9. Fill in the Campaign content field with the content you would like to use to differentiate this from other campaigns.
10. In the shortkey field, an unique identifier that will be used in the shortened URL to differentiate this URL from other Shortened URLs will be populated. You can change this if you want.
11. Click Get Link and QR code.

 To delete a smart URL:

1. Select Website Analytics from the left pane and click Smart URL.
2. Click on More options (three dots) for the URL you want to delete.
3. Select Delete option.
4. Click Delete Smart URL in the confirmation dialoge box.
