The Autoplay policy in Chrome is a collection of guidelines that determines whether media can be played on a webpage automatically, without user intervention. The goal of the policy is to ensure media does not begin playing unexpectedly, as this might affect the user experience. The policy stipulates that all media must be muted by default and that before any media may start playing, the user must take some sort of action on the website. This interaction may take the form of a key push, click, or tap.
