Unable to share screen from chrome browser on Mac OS Catalina 10.15 and above

If your Mac runs on OS version Catalina 10.15 and above, screen sharing from the chrome browser may not work even after enabling the necessary permissions as shown in the screenshot below. 

 

 

 

 

This is due to a bug that exists in the Google Chrome browser. Please update your Chrome browser to the latest version (99.0.4484.83) to share your screen.

MDM-managed systems may still be experiencing trouble in sharing screen. Chrome team is working on fixing it. Meanwhile, please contact your sysadmin and request that the screen recording permission for Google Chrome be removed and re-added.
