How do you scan business cards with Notebook?

Notebook has a built-in business card scanner so you can quickly scan business cards and save them across devices. Once you do a scan, Notebook automatically transforms the scanned content into a Contact Card, which formats the information and saves a copy of the business card for your convenience.

Follow the steps below to scan business cards on your iOS or Android device:
  1. When you open Notebook, tap Capture  found in the toolbar at the bottom of the main screen.
  2. Once the camera is open, swipe left and select Business Card.
  3. Place the phone directly above the business card so that the camera focuses on it.
  4. Notebook then captures the image, pulls out the information from the image of the business card, and saves the info as a Contact Card in your Notebook app.

Notebook may have trouble scanning all the data on a card in the following cases:
  1. The card and the background are not in contrast with each other.
  2. The lighting conditions are poor.
  3. Unrecognizable card font or graphics.
The app then moves the image to a filter screen where you can crop the card out. Once this is done the app automatically saves the information as a Contact Card.
