Handwriting and Sketch in Zoho Notebook

Handwriting and Sketch in Zoho Notebook

Overview

Zoho Notebook lets you capture ideas naturally using handwriting, sketches, diagrams, and freehand drawings with the Sketch Card. Whether you're using a stylus, digital pen, or your finger, Sketch Cards provide a simple way to take handwritten notes and express ideas visually.

Support for handwriting and pen input varies by platform. This guide explains where Sketch Cards are available and how to use them.

Note: Support for pressure sensitivity, palm rejection, and other advanced pen features depends on your device, operating system, and stylus.

Sketch Tols

When creating or editing a Sketch Card, you can use the following tools to make your drawings more precise and organized.

Pen

Use the Pen tool to write or draw with smooth, consistent strokes. This tool is ideal for general handwriting and sketches.

Pencil

Use the Pencil tool to create softer, pencil-like strokes that resemble writing on paper.

Highlighter

Use the Highlighter tool to emphasize important parts of your sketch or handwritten notes without obscuring the content underneath.

Eraser

Use the Eraser tool to remove unwanted strokes from your sketch.

Undo

Select the Undo icon to reverse your most recent action. You can undo multiple actions one at a time.

Redo

Select the Redo icon to restore an action that was previously undone.

Rotate Canvas

Use the Rotate option to rotate the drawing canvas, making it more comfortable to write or sketch from different angles. Rotating the canvas affects only your drawing view while editing and does not change the orientation of the saved sketch.

Add a Sketch Inside a Text Note

In addition to creating standalone Sketch Cards, you can also insert hand-drawn sketches directly into a Text Note.
