You can also use the Notebook bot and extension inside Cliq and collaborate with your peers. Before you begin:
Get to know a few things before you begin.
- Notebook is available as a bot, an extension, a tab, and inside the one-on-one and conference calls/meetings.
- The Notebook extension can be added or removed only by the organization admin.
- To update the bot and the extension periodically, you'll have to contact your organization administrator.
Install Zoho Notebook extension on Zoho Cliq - Steps for admins
Please contact your organization administrator. (Zoho Notebook extension can be installed only by your organization administrator.) To install the Zoho Notebook extension for Cliq, your admin should follow these steps.
- Navigate to > Marketplace > All, or click the
(Marketplace) icon in the top-right corner of Cliq's menubar.
- Search for and click on Zoho Notebook for Zoho Cliq.
- Click the Install button.
- Verify your details, then click Install.
- Select the team for which you want to install the extension, or you can select your organization.
Access Notebook in Cliq calls/meetings
- Click the Notebook icon in the top-right corner of the menu bar in the conference window. (For one-on-one calls/meetings, you can find the Notebook icon from the More Options menu in the footer.) You can see all the notes you created and shared with you in Zoho Notebook.
- To take new notes, click the + icon at the top-right corner of the widget.
- Once done, choose the appropriate notebook or create a new notebook to save it.
Save messages as notes
To save a message as a note in Notebook, follow these steps:
- Hover over a chat on Cliq and click the More Options icon. (For the mobile app, long press the chat and tap Add to Notebook)
- Click More and select Add to Notebook.
- Check and verify the authentication requests.
- Add title and tags, and select a notebook.
- The selected message will be added as a notecard in Notebook.
Send notes as messages
- Type the /notebook command to send your notes as messages on Cliq.
- Add search terms next to the command to filter notes. (Ex: /notebook Marketing)
- Up to ten notes will be shown from the given search term. You can either post one of these notes or open them from the results.
Create notes and notebooks with the Notebook bot
- Search for Zoho Notebook on Cliq and subscribe to it. (If you've already subscribed, you can start using the bot, as mentioned below.)
- Open the chatbot; you can find options to create notes and notebooks in the footer. You can create notes and notebooks by filling in the necessary details.
Add the Notes tab to Cliq's Navigation Sidebar
- Under your profile on Cliq, open Profile and Settings -> Display -> Navigation sidebar.
- Click Notes under Allowed Apps and select Move to Sidebar or drag and drop it.
- The Notes tab will be added to Cliq's navigation sidebar.
- You can remove it from the mock up or drag and drop it to its previous position.
Use Notebook on Cliq
Click on the Notes tab to use Notebook on Cliq. You can view all the notes, including Meeting and Shared Notes. You can create, access, and edit different types of notes, sort and filter them, and look through notes that you created in each notebook in the Notes tab.
Uninstall the Notebook extension
Refer to this document to uninstall the Notebook extension. (Only organization admins can uninstall the extension).
The Notes integration with the Cliq calls/meetings cannot be uninstalled as it's a built-in, default setup configured by the Zoho Corporation.
