Using Notebook with Cliq
Use Notebook inside Cliq when you are in a conference or one-on-one calls with your peers. You can use Notebook bot and extension inside Cliq, a team communication tool, to collaborate with your peers. Quickly save messages as notes, create notes, share your notes with your peers with Notebook inside Cliq.
With Notebook in Cliq Conference, you can,
- Search, refer and edit your notes.
- Create notes.
With Zoho Notebook bot, you can,
- Quickly create notes and notebooks.
With Zoho Notebook extension, you can,
- Search a note and share it as a message in a channel or a conversation.
- Save messages as notes.
Before you begin
A few things to know before you begin.
- Notebook is available as a bot, extension, as a tab, and inside the one-on-one and conference call.
- Notebook bot and extension can be added or removed only by the organization admin.
- To periodically update the bot and extension, you need to contact your organization administrator.
Access Notebook in Cliq Conference
You can view all your notes from Notebook when you are in an audio/video conversation with others. You can also take new notes and edit your notes during the conference. To use Notebook in Cliq conference, please follow these steps.
- Click the 'Menu' button in the conference window and click 'Notes'.
- You’ll be able to see your notes in Zoho Notebook.
- To take new notes, click the ‘+‘ icon at the top-right corner of the widget.
- Type your content, choose the appropriate notebook to store it in, and click on 'Done' to save the note.
Install Notebook bot and extension in Cliq
To install Zoho Notebook bot and extension in Cliq, your organization administrator should follow these steps.
- Visit Zoho Cliq marketplace (https://marketplace.zoho.com/cliq/zoho-notebook-for-cliq).
- Click Install.
- Sign in to Zoho Cliq.
- Click ‘Install’ after you agree with the terms and conditions.
Save messages as notes
To save a message as a note in Notebook, follow these steps.

1. Open Cliq. 2. Select a chat and long press it. 3. Tap 'Add to Notebook'. 4. Add the title, tags, and select a notebook. 5. Allow all the authentication requests. | 1. Open Cliq. 2. Send notes as messages
Use the /notebook command to send your notes as messages. Add search terms next to the command to filter notes. This command shows up to 10 notes. You can either post or open the note from the results.
Creating new notes and notebooks
You can use the Zoho Notebook bot to create instant notes and notebooks. All these notes are saved under your Zoho Notebook account. Search for Zoho Notebook in Cliq and install it. Once you open the bot, you can find options to create notes and notebooks.
Notes tab in Cliq
Notebook is available as Notes tab in Zoho Cliq. Look through your notes in Notebook and notes you take via Cliq meetings in the Notes tab. You can create, access, and edit different types of notes, sort and filter them, and look through notes associated with particular notebooks all in the Notes tab.
