Migrate from Google Keep
When you leave Google Keep and choose Notebook as your main note-taking app, you may not need to worry about your notes in Google Keep. You can use the migration tool in Notebook to migrate all your notes from Google Keep into Notebook.
Before you begin
A few things to know before you start with the migration.
- This tool will only import your notes from Google Keep keeping your notes in Google Keep intact.
- When you use the migration tool more than once, each time, your notes in Google Keep will be created as new notes in Notebook.
- All your attachments in your Google Keep are created as File Cards and grouped with the parent notecard.
- The migration tool is available only on Notebook web app.
- All the notes will be imported under a single Notebook named 'Google Keep'.
- You can only upload up to 500 MB file to import your notes from Google Keep.
Migrate from Google Keep
To migrate your notes from Google Keep, follow these steps.
- Go to https://takeout.google.com.
- Click 'Deselect all'
- Select 'Keep' from the list of apps available on the page.
- Click 'Multiple Formats' and then click 'OK'
- Scroll to bottom and Click 'Next'.
- Select 'One-time archive' and then Click 'Create archive'.
- Select File type as '.zip'.
- Download the archive by verifying your account.
- Open Notebook Web App (https://notebook.zoho.com).
- Click your profile picture at the top-right corner.
- Navigate to Settings > Click 'Migrate from Google Keep'.
- Import the downloaded Keep files by clicking 'Choose File' in Notebook.
- Once the file is imported, select whether you need offline access for imported files.
- Click 'Import'.
- Check the status of the import. Once the import is complete, you will get a confirmation email.
