Zoho's official privacy policy applies to Zoho Notebook too. Zoho Notebook is a privacy centric note-taking application which makes sure your data can be viewed by you alone and no one else. You can read about Zoho's official privacy policy and its compliance to global privacy standards here.

Zoho is officially compliant with ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018, SOC 2, PCI, ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, and SOC 2 + HIPAA which in turn applies to Zoho Notebook as well.

Some aspects of security and privacy in Zoho Notebook:
  • You can lock the app, your notes, and notebooks with a passcode, TouchID, or FaceID.
  • You can recover your passcode by setting up and answering a set of security questions.
  • You can export your entire Notebook data in any format you choose and back it up in any place of your choice.
  • You can always choose to share your usage and crash data with Notebook. It is just a click away from unsharing your data. You can choose to send it anonymously too.
  • Choose to share your data with Spotlight search, clipboard, Siri, speech recognition, and CallKit in the app's settings.
  • If you want to disable adding your contacts to Zoho Contacts you can do that too in the app's settings.
  • You can also too disable Zia from reading your data by unselecting Zia suggestions. Even spell check powered by Zia can be turned off too.
