How is data security and access control ensured in Office Integrator?
Protection for Data in Transit
All API requests to view/edit documents in Zoho Office editors are carried over secure HTTPS connection. We can assure you that your data is safe as long as it is in viewed/edited in Zoho Writer, Sheet or Show.
Please note that Zoho or any other users will not be able to view/edit your content; the user who is accessing the unique session URL provided from our end will only be able to view/edit the content. Also, we provide a separate document URL for each API request making the transaction completely secure.

Protection for Data at rest
EAR protects against any possible data leak due to server compromise or unauthorized access.Encryption is done at the application layer using the AES-256 algorithm which is a symmetric encryption algorithm and uses 128-bit blocks and 256-bit keys.
Document Access
Document access include both read-write access and read-only permissions, and also permissions for exclusively commenting. It is possible to restrict the downloading and printing of documents to control distribution of content.
Google or other search engines cannot crawl your content as Office Integrator contains session-based APIs. The only state we maintain is the current session of the document in which the file is viewed or edited in our Office editors (Writer, Sheet, Show). Once the browser session is closed, the content is removed from Zoho Servers. For more details, please refer here.
