Users can create their own separate instances of Zoho One apps outside the organization based on the permission given by the admin.
To allow users to create separate instances of a Zoho One app:
The steps to allow users to create standalone instances of a Zoho One app vary between three user interface versions supported in Zoho One. Select the UI version you use from the tabs below and proceed with the steps that follow.
One Experience UI
- Sign in to Zoho One, then click the Admin Panel icon
on the top-right corner. - Click Organization on the left menu, then select Controls.
- Select Allow external sign-ups from the drop-down.
Enable the Restrict users from creating apps without permission toggle, then choose moderators who you want to moderate the access requests from all users. The moderator is authorised to deliberate every request and either allow or deny it.
- When a request is made by a user, the moderator gets notified of it as an email. Such requests get collected and can be viewed from the bell icon. The moderator can decide whether or not to approve them. Now, when a user signs up in to an app, they will be asked to obtain the moderator's consent to access it.
Note: If moderation is not enabled, the users will still be able to sign up independently and create new separate accounts.
Spaces UI
- Sign in to Zoho One, then click the Directory Settings icon
on the top-right corner. - Click Organization on the left menu, then select Controls.
