Managing Devices - Distribute App | Admin Guide - Zoho One

Distribute app

Prerequisites

Roles that can perform this action:

  1. Organization Owner
  2. Organization Admin

Overview

You can remotely install apps to the enrolled devices. Apps can be distributed to an individual device or a group of devices in bulk through an MDM-enabled group.

When you distribute an app to an MDM-enabled group, Zoho One installs the app on the enrolled devices associated with the users in that group. Users added to the group later, or users who enroll eligible devices after joining the group, also receive the assigned apps.

Distribute Methods:

  1. Silent installation: Installs the app with minimal user intervention. On corporate-ownen devices, the app installs automatically. On BYOD devices, users must approve the installation request first, then the app installs automatically.
  2. Manual installation from App Catalog: Makes the app available in the Zoho One App Catalog for users to install themselves.
