Overview

Unified Availability Status (UAS) is a central location from which you can manage your working status, such as checking in, going on leave, or marking yourself as busy. Instead of switching between apps, you can update your status once; it will be reflected across all supported apps that are associated with your account.
You can navigate to the UAS panel from your Profile Pane in Zoho One, where you can:
  1. View your current status (with a colored icon on your profile picture)
  2. Set a new status in just a click
  3. Apply for leave or check in (if your organization uses Zoho People)
            

Supported actions and apps

Depending on the Zoho apps associated with your organization, the actions you're allowed to perform vary. If any of the below actions are missing, you may not have the relevant Zoho apps integrated into your organization. Learn how to add an app to your Zoho One organization

Custom status setting

The UAS panel helps you set a unique, context-oriented status through these two independent actions:
  1. Icon-only dropdown - You can quickly pick the most suitable icon from the available options.
  2. Custom status text field (for Cliq) - Instead of just choosing a predefined status, you can have a personalized status:
    1. Click your current status. A custom text field appears.
    2. Type your own status (like "Abroad at an event" or "Out of office. Call me on my cell.").

You can only set up a custom status text message but the current status icon will remain as is.

Notes
Setting the custom status message as "On leave" from UAS doesn't count as an official leave application as required by Zoho People. Click Apply leave from the UAS panel, file a leave record, and, once it's approved, set an "On leave" status in Cliq. Learn more about this integration

Channel status

In the UAS panel, your statuses for Desk and SalesIQ are managed under Channel Status. You can change these statuses either separately using their toggles to mark yourself Online or Offline, or simply click the Channel Status master toggle. When this united toggle is turned off, both apps are marked Offline as long as you don't touch their individual toggles.

            

Status sync behavior

Status updates made through the UAS panel or from within any supported apps are synced instantly in real time. Only the most recent update always takes priority, regardless of where it was made. For example, if a user marks themselves Busy using the UAS panel, it reflects in all integrated apps. If it's later changed to Available from within Cliq, that status will overwrite the previous one across all other apps.
Not all the status options discussed earlier are supported by some apps. For example, Desk may not show transient statuses from Cliq.

Admin-level configurations

Certain status options may be restricted for all the users in an organization by the admin. These appear locked in the drop-down so the users won't be able to select them to set as their status. While UAS is part of Zoho One, permissions to decide what status options should be accessible to users are managed only within the individual apps as these controls are not available within Zoho One's Admin Panel.
For example, Cliq admins can rename or remove status options and enforce or restrict their usage among the users of their organizations. To learn more, refer to Cliq's admin guide.

Behavior when certain apps are not installed

UAS adapts to the setup of your account by showing only the elements relevant to the apps present in your account.
For example:
  1. Without People, check-in or leave options won't be available.
  2. Without Cliq, custom or transient status options won't be available.
  3. Without Desk, live/chat agent status options won't be available.
  4. Basic statuses like Available, Busy, and Away will still work as long as they are supported by at least one app.
