Once disabled, the user's MFA configuration will be disabled, and the user will not be prompted for MFA during their next login. You can enable it later, at any time.
The steps to disable MFA vary between two User Interface versions supported in Zoho One. Select the UI version you use from the tabs below and proceed with the steps that follow.
Spaces UI
- Sign in to Zoho One, then click
in the top-right corner.
- Click Users in the left menu, then click on the user for whom you want to disable MFA.
Go to Security Policies tab, turn off the toggle under Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
On the pop-up, click Verify and re-authorize to verify your identity with your password. Next, turn off the toggle again and click Yes, Confirm to disable MFA.
While performing sensitive actions, admins will need to periodically re-authenticate.
- To disable MFA for bulk users, after selecting them, you can either find the Disable MFA option at the top or access the Quick Actions menu (
) in the top-right corner and click Disable MFA.

Select the necessary users and click Disable. Repeat Step 4.
Unified UI
- Sign in to Zoho One, then click Directory in the left menu.
- Click Users in the left menu, then click on the user for whom you want to disable MFA.
- Go to Security Policies tab, turn off the toggle under Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

On the pop-up, click Verify and re-authorize to verify your identity with your password. Next, turn off the toggle again and click Yes, Confirm to disable MFA.
