The steps vary for the User Interface versions supported in Zoho One. Select the UI version you use from the tabs below and proceed with the steps that follow.

To disable field:
Sign in to Zoho One , then on the top-right corner.
Click Portals.
Under the Clients tab, click Manage Fields.
Hover over the required field, then click .
Click Disable, then click Yes, Disable. The field will be marked as Inactive. Existing client data stored in the disabled field will be hidden in the Client Info page until the field is re-enabled.
The data will only be hidden, not deleted. To delete the data completely, see Delete a field.
To enable field:
Sign in to Zoho One , then click on the top-right corner.
Click Portals.
Under the Clients tab, click Manage Fields.
Hover over the required field, then click .
Click Enable, then click Yes, Enable. If the field held client data before being disabled, that data will be restored.
Unified UI
To disable field:
Sign in to Zoho One , then click Directory in the left menu.
Click Portals.
Under the Clients tab, click Manage Fields.
Hover over the required field, then click .
Click Disable, then click Yes, Disable. The field will be marked as Inactive. Existing client data stored in the disabled field will be hidden in the Client Info page until the field is re-enabled.
The data will only be hidden, not deleted. To delete the data completely, see Delete a field.
