Cannot sign in to AD Sync Tool

Description

You may face this error when:
  1. you're trying to sign in to Zoho One/Directory's AD Sync Tool.
  1. you're trying to reassign the ownership of the AD Sync Tool to a different Zoho One/Directory admin.

Reason

The AD Sync Tool requires Internet Explorer 11 to function properly. On June 15, 2022, Microsoft started removing IE 11 in computers running on Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11.
If you have installed the Sync Tool on a Windows 10/11 computer, some parts of the tool (including the Zoho Sign-in section) will not work properly.

Solution

To make sure the Sync Tool works properly, you will have to reinstall IE 11 on your computer. Steps to reinstall IE 11 can be found in Microsoft's help document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/developer/browsers/installation/disable-internet-explorer-windows
Note: "Method 1" in the linked document may not work for Windows 11 users. Please try the other methods if this method does not work.
After re-installing Internet Explorer, try signing in to the Sync Tool again. If the problem persists, please email a screenshot or screen recording of the issue to support@zohoone.com or support@zohodirectory.com.
