I have multiple portals of an app. Why am I asked to pick just one when adding the app to Zoho One?

Description

You may encounter this situation in the following scenarios:
  1. You have signed up for two or more bundles that have common applications, and you are trying to map the applications from both the bundles to your Zoho One organization.
  2. You have signed up separately for a standalone application and a bundle that has that application, and you are trying to add the application to Zoho One.

Reason

Multiple portals cannot be managed within Zoho One. Let's look at an example to understand how multiple portals are created.
The applications in the People Plus bundle are People, Recruit, Expense, Payroll, Connect, Cliq, and Vault. Similarly, the applications in the Finance Plus bundle are Books, Expense, Subscriptions, Inventory, Invoice, Checkout, and Payroll. As you can see, there are two apps—Expense and Payroll—in common between the two bundles. If you have subscribed to these two bundles, and then access the standalone versions of Expense and Payroll, you can find that two portals have been mapped. When you then sign up for a Zoho One account, you can select which portal of each bundle to be added. 

Solution

To work around this situation:
  1. You can add the portal which you want to manage from the Zoho One admin panel, and access the other portal from the standalone version of the app.
