Overview
Deleting a pending user allows administrators to revoke an unaccepted invitation, helping to maintain proper access control by ensuring that only intended users receive the invitations. This action may be necessary in the following scenarios:
- The invitation was sent in error.
- The user is no longer intended to join the organization.
- The invitation needs to be resent to a different email.

Before deleting a pending user
Review the following before deleting a pending user:
- The user to be deleted should not have been granted access to SAML or third-party applications.
- If any Directory or Non-Directory SAML app was assigned to the user, deleting them in Zoho One will not be reflected in the app. Remember to delete the user in the SAML app to prevent unexpected bills.
To delete a user:
The step to delete a pending user vary between the two User Interface versions supported in Zoho One. Select the UI version you use from the tabs below and proceed with the steps that follow.
Spaces UI
- Sign in to Zoho One, then click
on the top-right corner. - Click Users, then click on a Pending User. You can also find the list of Pending Users through the drop-down menu above the list of users.
- Click
, then click Delete.
If any Directory or Non-Directory SAML app was assigned to the user,
deleting them in Zoho One will not be reflected in the app. Remember to
delete the user in the SAML app to prevent unexpected bills.
Unified UI
- Sign in to Zoho One, then click Directory in the left menu.
- Click Users, then click on a Pending User. You can also find the list of Pending Users through the drop-down menu above the list of users.
- Click
, then click Delete.

Mobile UI
For iOS devices:
- Open the Zoho One app on your mobile device.
- Tap
in the bottom-right corner, then tap Users.
- Under USERS, tap on the drop-down arrow for active user, then select Invited Users or Non-Invited Users.
- Tap on the user you want to delete.
- Tap
on the top-right corner, then tap Delete Pending User. - Tap Delete.
