Dashboard
A dashboard is a visual interface that organizes and presents real-time data through charts, graphs, and other metrics to help your users monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) at a glance. It is a way of displaying your organization's data in a single space with customizable visuals and widgets.
When you sign in to Zoho One, the first page you see is the dashboard set by your organization admin.
Here, you can also view the personal dashboards created by you. Different widgets help you find relevant data from different apps for easy interpretation.
Types of dashboards
- Dashboard for Everyone (Public Dashboard): This dashboard is created and managed by the organization admin and is visible to all users in the organization. Only the organization admin can create/edit this dashboard. An admin can create up to five public dashboards.
- Dashboard for Only Me (Private Dashboard): This dashboard is created by individual users and is visible only to the user who created it. A user can create up to fifteen private dashboards.
Widgets
Widgets are like the building blocks of your dashboard. They display data from the applications you use. When you add or edit a dashboard, you have an entire list of widgets to choose from to customize your dashboard. Some widgets also support filter options, allowing you to easily find the information you need by selecting the relevant filters.
Types of widgets
- System Widgets: These are the predefined and ready to use widgets that require no set up or configurations.
- Suggested Widgets: Suggested widgets are the recommendation widgets that help you discover useful insights to add to your dashboard. You can add the suggested widgets directly to your dashboard and customize them according to your needs.
- Custom View: A custom view is a service-based view supported within specific applications. It allows you to display only the data that matches specific criteria defined in that application.
- Custom Widgets: With the custom widget option, you can create and add your personalized widget to the dashboard. This allows you to configure a custom widget that display data in the form of metrics and lists or add any URL embed as a widget.
Example
Suppose you have added Cliq, Mail, and People to your Zoho One account. You will be able to view the following information on the dashboard in the form of widgets:
- From Cliq: Your scheduled events, chats that you are mentioned in, and messages you have starred.
- From Mail: Mail folders such as Inbox, Drafts, and Sent.
- From People: Your pending tasks, your attendance, your leave report, co-workers you've marked as favorite, your organization's upcoming holidays, and announcements made by your organization.
