Users will be able to view,
- Cards created by them.
- Cards requested by them.
- Cards in which the user can perform one or more Actions .
- Cards created in orchestrations where the user has Access Cards permission.
Access Privileges :
- Admin users will be able to view all the cards.
- For all other user profiles, View permission under Access Control must be enabled.
You can mention users while adding comments to cards. The tagged users will be sent email, web, and mobile notifications based on their
notification preference.
To mention a user in the comment,
- Type ‘@‘ in the comment box and start typing the user name.
- Select the user name from the suggested list of names.
- Click Post Comment.
You can only tag users who have accepted the invitation to join the organization.
Users of the following categories can only be tagged: Card assignee, Card requestor, Transition/Action performer, or Orchestration creator.

Also, users profiles with ‘View: Cards assigned to others’ permission enabled in
Access Control can be tagged.
You can tag any number of users to a comment.
A comment can hold a maximum of 50,000 characters.
Add attachments to comments
You can drag and drop files as attachments while adding comments to cards.
For image files, you can also add annotations such as notes, underlining the important information, highlighting the area that needs more attention, and much more.
Annotate option will show up only for images in the following formats: png, jpg, jpeg,bmp, and gif.
Also, you can rename the attachments directly from here using the Rename option.
Customize card columns
Pick the
card fields you want to view and hide the rest using customization options.
- Navigate to the Cards tab or any orchestration shortcut tab at the top bar and click to the left of Card ID .
- Toggle the button ON/OFF to enable or disable the columns.

Click Save.
- Title field is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
- Only default fields will be displayed in the cards tab.
- Default fields and other field labels (including advanced fields) used in the orchestration will be displayed in the orchestration shortcut tabs.
Filter cards
Filter your card to view specific work items.
- Navigate to the Cards tab or any orchestration shortcut tab at the top bar and select the Filter dropdown.
- Select the required Filter options.
- Click Find.
Dropdown, User Dropdown, Single-Line, Email Address, and Link custom fields will be displayed as a category to filter.
Cards can be sorted in ascending or descending order of custom fields. By default, the latest card created will be listed first.
- Card ID and Title fields cannot be sorted.
- Single-Line, Integer, Decimal, Date & Time, Date, Email Address, and Radio Button fields can be sorted.
To sort cards,
- Navigate to the Cards tab or any orchestration shortcut tab at the top bar.
- Click the up arrow or down arrow icon next to the column name.
- Up arrow indicates ascending order and down arrow indicated descending order.
Other columns in List view can be sorted similarly.
Save filter as custom view
You can save the filtered cards as a new Custom View under orchestration shortcut tabs. Once the cards are filtered:
Click Save in the top-right corner to view Add Custom View pop-up.
Enter the details and click Save.
Export cards
You can export the data available in cards either as an XLS or CSV file.
Cards present under the selected view and filter will be exported.
- Navigate to the Cards tab or any orchestration shortcut tab at the top bar.
- Use the view and filter options to display the cards that need to be exported.
- Click in the top-right corner of the page.
- Depending on your requirement, select Export as CSV or Export as XLS .
- Now, you will be prompted to encrypt your file. Click Yes , if you opt for encryption. Else, click No.
The exported file will be downloaded to your computer. Encrypted files can be accessed only with password.
- Encrypting your files ensure safety of confidential data.
- If you are exporting more than 3,000 cards in one go, a URL to download your file will be emailed. This URL will expire in 7 days.
- Data available in Multi-Line fields, File fields, and Advanced fields will not be exported.
Qntrl allows users to import cards saved in XLS, XLSX, or CSV files. Importing cards to Qntrl helps automate and track their card progress efficiently.
- Navigate to the Cards tab or any orchestration shortcut tab at the top bar.
- Click in the top-right corner of the page and select Import Cards.
- Fill in the details:
- File Type : Choose the type of file you are about to upload.
- Upload File : Attach the file to be imported.
- Form : Select a form in which the cards must be imported.
- Click Proceed.
The first three rows of the uploaded file will be displayed as a preview.
- Map the file headers with relevant fields of the chosen form.
- All the mandatory fields must be mapped.
- Date Format : Choose the date format used in the uploaded file.
- One of the following date formats must be used in the imported file: MM/dd/yyyy, dd/MM/yyyy, MM-dd-yyyy, dd-MM-yyyy, yyyy-MM-dd, yyyy/MM/dd.
- If the file's date format differs from the organization's current format, it will be reordered to maintain consistency.
- Time Format : Choose the time format used in the uploaded file.
- The time format used in the imported file can be 12 or 24 hours.
- Click Import.
An import will be scheduled by Qntrl. The status of the import will be emailed to you.
- Sample CSV and XLS file can be downloaded for reference.
- Uploaded files must be UTF-8(Unicode) encoded.
- Ensure that there are no empty rows or columns in the file.
- The Cards will be mapped to the relevant blueprints, based on their criteria.
- The created Cards will not be assigned to any user.
- Dropdown and Multi Select fields can only be mapped with the options predefined in their Form.
- Multi Select field values must be comma-separated.
- Only 5000 Cards can be imported at once.

Import values cannot be mapped to fields created during transitions. If you want to import values to these fields, try moving the field from
Transition Field section to another section.

Edit cards
- Navigate to Cards and select the card you wish to edit.
- Modify the card details.
- Click Save .
- The orchestration associated with a card cannot be modified.
- Card ID is generated based on the chosen orchestration and cannot be edited.
Access Privileges : Admin Users will be able to edit the cards associated with them, as well as others. For all other user profiles, the Edit permission under Access Control must be enabled.
Move cards
You can move your cards from one blueprint to another under the same orchestration .
- Navigate to Cards and click on the card you wish to move.
- Click at the top right corner and select Move from the dropdown.
- Choose a Blueprint from the available list of blueprints and click Move.
- Cards can be moved only to published blueprints.
- Cards can be moved only to blueprints that are enabled.
- To move a card to another blueprint, ensure that the other blueprint's criteria matches the card.
Delete card
- To delete a card, select the card you wish to delete.
- In the ensuing page, click in the upper right corner and select Delete.
- Confirm your action.
Access Privileges : Admin Users will be able to delete the cards associated to them as well as others. For all other user profiles, Delete permission under Access Control must be enabled.
