Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of forms can be tracked?
Zoho PageSense can track static web forms that are properly embedded within the <form> tag and contain either a form ID or form name.
Commonly tracked forms include:
  • Contact forms
  • Signup forms
  • Lead generation forms
  • Registration forms
  • Checkout forms
  • Newsletter subscription forms
For accurate tracking, the form should be available on the webpage during page load.

2. Can I track multiple forms on the same page?
Yes. If multiple forms are available on the same webpage, you can track them by creating separate Form Analytics experiments for each form.
Currently, a single Form Analytics experiment can track only one form at a time.

3. Can I track forms on dynamic or AJAX-based pages?
Yes. Dynamic or AJAX-based forms can also be tracked in Zoho PageSense.
However, such forms may not be automatically detected during configuration. In these cases, you need to manually configure the form details, such as the form ID or form name, while setting up the Form Analytics experiment.

4. Is there a limit on the number of forms tracked?
No. Zoho PageSense does not impose any restriction on the number of Form Analytics experiments you can create.
You can configure multiple form tracking experiments across different webpages based on your requirements.

5. Can I export Form Analytics reports?
Yes. Zoho PageSense allows you to export Form Analytics reports for analysis and reporting purposes.

6. Why is my form not being tracked?
A form may not be tracked due to the following reasons:
  • The form does not contain a form ID or form name
  • The form is not embedded within the <form> tag
  • The form is dynamically loaded after page load
  • The tracking script is not properly installed
  • The configured URL conditions do not match the webpage
Ensure the form structure and tracking configuration are correctly implemented for accurate tracking.

7. Why are some fields missing in reports?
Certain form fields may not appear in reports if:
  • The fields are dynamically generated
  • The fields load only after user interaction
  • The fields are hidden during initial page load
  • The field structure changes dynamically
In such cases, ensure the form fields are properly rendered and accessible during form initialization.

8. How do I fix issues with dynamic or multi-step forms?
For dynamic or multi-step forms, manually configure the form details during setup using the form ID or form name.
Also ensure:
  • All form steps are properly loaded
  • The PageSense tracking script is installed correctly
  • The form remains within the <form> tag structure throughout the flow
This helps improve tracking consistency for advanced form flows.

9. Why isn't my web form fetching automatically in Form Analytics?
Currently, Zoho PageSense can automatically fetch only static forms available directly on the webpage source.
If your form is dynamic or rendered after page load, it may not be detected automatically during configuration. In such cases, you must manually configure the form details such as the form ID or form name while setting up the Form Analytics experiment.

10.Why are Zoho Forms submissions not getting updated in my Form Analytics report?
If the embedded Zoho Forms form is placed inside an <iframe> tag, Zoho PageSense cannot directly fetch or track the form interactions. As an alternative, you can enable the integration between Zoho Forms and Zoho PageSense to view form submission insights directly within the PageSense reports.
