How to create and view A/B test using PageSense's Chrome extension?

Create an A/B test and view results using Chrome extension

Create variations of your web page using the PageSense's live visual editor and generate a/b test reports to find the most successful variant, right from your Chrome browser. With PageSense Visual Editor, you can make text or image changes, and format and style elements right on the web page without entering a single line of code. You can also set goals and track conversions on the dynamic elements of your testing website on your Chrome browser instantly. However, the detailed analysis of your a/b experiment reports can be viewed within your PageSense web app.


To create a new A/B test:
1. Open the web page you want to create your A/B test for, then click the Zoho PageSense extension icon on your Chrome browser and then click plus '+' icon. 

2. Click A/B Test.

3. Enter a name for the a/b test, choose the project that you wish to include the experiment in from the dropdown, then click CREATE.



Your experiment will load the PageSense visual editor at the bottom of your web page. Learn more about using the visual editor in Zoho PageSense.

4. Click the element on the page to view the visual editor tools, including the formatting and styling options. 


For example, say you want to test the color of your 'Navigation bar' on your homepage. 


5. Click the 
Add New Variation button to create a new variation to your A/B test.

lick Save and Next at the top right corner of the screen.

This will open the GOALS section of your a/b experiment (under the chosen Project portal) in Zoho PageSense web app.



7. Configure the remaining settings for your A/B experiment in the Zoho PageSense web app and click Launch.


8. Once after launching, you will be able to view a statistical dashboard for your a/b test that shows the number of visitors, variants, and goal conversions, along with the variation that is successful or leading on your web page. 

To view your A/B test report:
1. Click the Zoho PageSense extension icon on your Chrome browser and click the A/B test for which you want to view reports.
The list of previously created A/B tests and heatmap experiments will be displayed, along with their status (started or paused or running).

2. Click View Report to see a detailed view of your a/b experiment metrics under the Zoho PageSense REPORTS page.

3. Click EDIT EXPERIMENT to make edits to the variations of your A/B test when the experiment is in the draft state or paused.
