Manage Users and Roles in Zoho PageSense

User & Controls

The Users section under User & Controls in Zoho PageSense Settings allows you to manage the users who have access to a specific project. From this section, you can view the list of users associated with the project, check their access status, and assign appropriate roles based on their responsibilities.

This helps teams collaborate effectively while ensuring that each user has the correct level of access to experiments, reports, and project configurations.

NotesNote: The Settings icon is located in the top-right corner of your PageSense interface. From there, navigate to User & Controls → Users to manage project users.

Viewing Project Users

The Users page displays all individuals who currently have access to the project. For each user, you can view key details such as:
  • User name
  • Email address
  • Role assigned within the project
  • User status
The status indicates whether a user has accepted the project invitation and is actively using the project, or if their invitation is still pending.
Managing users from this section helps administrators maintain clear visibility over who has access to the project and what permissions they hold.

Inviting Users to the Project

To collaborate with additional team members, you can invite them directly from the Users section.

When inviting a new user, you need to provide the following details:

Email Address
Enter the email address of the user you want to invite. PageSense will send an invitation to this email, allowing the user to join the project.

Role
Assign a role to define the level of access the user will have within the project. The available roles include:

  1. Project Owner
The Project Owner has full control over the project. This role can manage experiments, view reports, configure project settings, invite users, and make administrative changes.
  1. Editor
An Editor can create and manage experiments, modify configurations, and access reports within the project. However, editors typically have limited administrative privileges compared to the project owner.
  1. Viewer
A Viewer has read-only access to the project. Users with this role can view experiments and reports but cannot create, edit, or modify project settings.

 Why User Roles Are Important

Assigning roles helps ensure that the right users have the right level of access within the project. This helps maintain better control over experiments and settings while enabling teams to collaborate efficiently.

Using role-based access control allows organizations to:

  • Protect critical project configurations

  • Prevent unauthorized changes

  • Provide controlled access to reports and experiments

  • Manage team collaboration effectively within PageSense

By properly managing users and roles, teams can ensure that PageSense projects remain organized, secure, and easy to collaborate on.
