Create a time spent on page goal for a/b test in Zoho PageSense | Help Guide

Add a time spent on page goal to your variation

On PageSense, you could setup Time Spent on Page goal in A/B testing to check whether the changes made to the variations have increased the average amount of time people spend on your web page. This type of goal tracks conversion as soon as a visitor reaches the configured amount of time (in seconds) on your site. With these metrics, you can get a much clearer idea of whether you’re bringing in the right kind of traffic, and if your variation page is performing better than the original version.
For example, let's take your product's home page, where you believe your visitors might need to spend a minimum of 10 minutes to be truly engaged with the content of your web page. This includes the time just after they land on the home page, reading through content, and looking at the your product video. These metrics could be used to provide a sense of which version of your A/B test interests your visitors and in turn gets higher conversion rates.

To create a time spent on page goal:
1. Go to the GOALS tab in your A/B test (or split URL test) and click + New Goal.

2. Choose Time Spent on Page from the left pane and enter a descriptive name for the goal in the text box.

3. Enter the time in seconds in the text box then click Save and Next

For example, you want to track conversions of visitors who spend at least 60 seconds on your blog's landing pages. In this case, the Time spent goal helps track conversions whenever a visitor spends more than 1 minute on your specified blog page.
