How to create and schedule push notifications in Zoho PageSense | Help guide?

Create and schedule your first push notification

Grab your audience’s attention even if they are not active on your website. Schedule and send important alerts such as new product releases, last-minute sales, upcoming event reminders, and a lot more to your subscribers to spark conversions on your website. Zoho PageSense allows you to set automated push messages that recur over a period of time, appear on a specified date and time, or can be triggered by events such as an abandoned cart on an eCommerce site. You can choose to set up multiple push messages on PageSense based on your industry type and user segment like new visitors, device used, etc. This will help you achieve more clicks and increase traffic to your site. Tip: Segment your users to schedule better notifications and generate successful results.

Install the Zoho PageSense code snippet on your web pages before you set up a push notification.
Notifications that you create and schedule will be sent to your subscribers based on the time zone of your user account. If you want to target users from a different time zone, please change them under your product's Account settings page.

To create and schedule push notifications:
Important: Before you create and launch your push notification in PageSense, you need to setup the web push opt-in under the project settings to allow visitors to subscribe and receive notitcations from your website.
1. Click Push Notification on the left pane, and click New Push Notification.

2. E
nter a name for your notification experiment within the text box, and click Create.

3. On the
CONFIGURATION page, choose how you want to schedule your notification using the following three types:
  1. ONE-TIME NOTIFICATION - These types of notifications are sent to users only once and generally apply for time bound offers/updates such as new product launches, holiday discounts, and so on. It usually goes out as a massive blast to a wide user segment on a scheduled date and time
For example, a smartphone network running a one-day promotional offer on a brand-new international roaming pack for all visitors.
To do this:
a.1. Click ADVANCED OPTIONS and choose when you want to delivery the notification.
  1.  Select Now to launch the notification immediately or Later to send it in the future.
  2. You can also choose the Start Date, End Date, and Time that you want to run the one-time campaign.
Enable or disable the Auto Hide option
You can enable the auto hide option to keep your notification visible until a user clicks on it or dismisses it. But if you want to create a non-intrusive browing experience, you can always choose to disable this option. When disabled, your Web Push Notification will be automatically hidden after 5 secs of inactivity.

This type of notification allows you to inform your subscribers about the new offer and encourage them to be on your website at the right time to make the purchase.
b. RECURRING NOTIFICATION - These types of notifications are sent to users periodically (daily, weekly, monthly) as reminders about recurring events such as subscription renewals, policy payments, and so on. It also helps nudge your subscribers about last-minute deals and exciting offers in advance.
For example, a coffee shop providing 'one for one' offer on all the drinks and desserts every Wednesday.
To do this:
b.1. Under SCHEDULE NOTIFICATION, select your preferred notification frequency from the drop-down.
Daily: The notification will be sent to visitors everyday.
Weekly: The notification will be sent to visitors on a specific day of the week.
Monthly: The notification will be shown to visitors on a particular day of the month.

b.2. Click ADVANCED OPTIONS and choose when you want to deliver your notification.
  1.  Select Now to launch the notification immediately or Later to send it in the future.
  2. You can also choose the Start Date, End Date, and Time until that you want to the notification to recur on your website.

By automating these repeated deals, you can inform your subscribers about sales and attract more customers to the outlet.

    c.

TRIGERRED NOTIFICATION - These types of notifications are sent to only those users who complete a predefined action on your website. It helps enhance your buyer’s journey by sending more relevant and exclusive notifications based on triggers.
For example, an eCommerce site sending out a 'Thank you' message to customers once they complete an order, requesting that they refer your website to new users for extra benefits.
To do this,
c.1. Under SCHEDULE NOTIFICATION, choose a preferred trigger condition for your notification from the drop-down. Learn the different types of goals you can set up in PageSense.
c.2. Click

This type of reward program will make the buying process more fun and engaging. At the same time, it will help acquire new customers to your site and make the existing subscribers shop with you more frequently.
Avoid sending notifications to your users at night. A substantial amount of people sleep with their smartphones, and not all of them turn their devices to silent mode. As a result, a notification sent between 12am and 6am risks waking up or disrupting a user, eventually leading them to unsubscribe from your application.
