How to select target audience segments for push notification on Zoho PageSense | Help Guide?

Choose your audience segment to send notifications

Assuming all subscribers will have the same preferences on your website can result in a high number of users unsubscribing from your notifications. On PageSense, you can choose from a predefined set of subscribers to whom you want to show your notification. These include properties such as device used, first time visitors, returning visitors, social media traffic, and much more. Audience segments act like filters that send notifications to a more focused subscriber group. Once you target the right subscribers, you can start pushing your personalized push messages to see higher click rates and lower bounce rates. Alternatively, the website optimization platform also allows you to create custom audience segments based on the subscribers' behavior and actions performed on your website.

For example, reminding users of the exclusive weekend buffet offers available at your restaurant every Friday, exclusively on their mobile phone.

To set your target audience for push notifications:
Go to the AUDIENCE tab of your push notification, choose the type of visitors you want to show the notification to on their browse and click Next. Zoho PageSense provides the following types of audience segments:

  1.  Preset segments: These are the default audience segments available for your experiment on PageSense that allows you to target subscribers based on device type, social media traffic, returning visitors, paid campaigns, and more.
  2.  Custom segments: These are the personalized audience segments that can be created using any combination of user profile and user behavior filters by clicking the +Custom Audience button.
