User Journey is a Track report that visualizes the pages visitors navigate through after reaching a selected Starting page.
How is User Journey different from Funnel Analysis?
User Journey reveals the paths visitors actually take, while Funnel Analysis measures a predefined sequence of steps.
How many steps are displayed?
The User Journey visualization displays the Starting page followed by up to four downstream steps.
What does 100% on the Starting page mean?
It represents the complete session population used as the baseline for the journey.
Why are some pages shown as "Other pages"?
Lower-volume destinations are grouped together to keep the visualization readable.
Can the same page appear at different steps?
Yes. If visitors revisit the same page during a session, it can appear at different navigation steps.
What does a drop-off mean?
A drop-off means the visitor's recorded session ended on that page without another page navigation.
Does a drop-off mean the visitor did not convert?
Not necessarily. A drop-off only describes the recorded navigation behavior. You should use your conversion data and other PageSense reports to determine whether the visitor completed your desired goal.
Can I analyze User Journey for a specific audience?
Yes. You can apply an audience segment to analyze the journey of a specific group of visitors.
Can User Journey be used with Funnel Analysis?
Yes. They are complementary. User Journey can help you discover an important path, after which you can create a Funnel Analysis to measure that specific conversion journey.
What should I do after discovering an important path?
Investigate the relevant pages using other PageSense reports such as Session Recording or Funnel Analysis. A journey map tells you what visitors did; additional behavioral analysis can help you understand the experience behind that behavior.
