Migration from Zoho One to Zoho CRM Plus

Migration from Zoho One to Zoho CRM Plus

Migration from Zoho One to Zoho CRM Plus

If your organisation is currently subscribed to Zoho One but wishes to move to Zoho CRM Plus, the downgrade requires a two-step process. This is because the bundled applications of CRM Plus exist only under the CRM Plus suite, and Zoho One cannot directly transfer these subscriptions.

This document outlines the exact steps to successfully downgrade and activate CRM Plus without losing access to your data.

Activate Your CRM Plus Subscription

Even if you have enabled the CRM Plus Trial in your account, you will not be able to access its apps because those apps are still tied to your active Zoho One subscription.

To proceed, CRM Plus must first be converted into a paid plan.

Steps to subscribe:

  1. Sign in to the Zoho account linked to your CRM Plus Trial.
  2. When attempting to access any CRM Plus app, you will see a message.
    • Click Upgrade to Zoho CRM Plus,
      OR
    • Click UPGRADE from the left-side menu as shown below.

  1. Follow the on-screen prompts, choose your plan, complete the billing, and finalise the payment. Ensure that you are purchasing the enough user licenses actually required for Zoho CRM Plus.

Result:

Both Zoho One and CRM Plus are now active paid subscriptions. However, the apps will still remain locked under Zoho One until you complete the downgrade.

Downgrade Your Zoho One Plan

Once CRM Plus is active, the next step is to cancel the Zoho One plan. Before proceeding with the downgrade, please ensure that the user who will be the owner of the Zoho CRM Plus bundle is also the owner of all the applications supported under Zoho CRM Plus. This ensures that those applications are automatically mapped to Zoho CRM Plus once it is enabled.

Steps to Downgrade Zoho One Paid Plan:

  1. Navigate to one.zoho.com.
  2. Click your Profile icon (top-right) and select Manage under Subscription as shown below:

Result:

Zoho One will cancel either immediately or at the end of the billing cycle (based on your selection). Once canceled, all non-CRM Plus apps will automatically switch to their free versions.
This ensures that you retain access to your essential apps during the transition until CRM Plus takes over completely.

Access Zoho CRM Plus

After Zoho One is canceled:
  • All Zoho One apps that are not included in CRM Plus shift to free versions.
  • Your CRM Plus apps (CRM, Desk, etc.) will automatically reconnect to the new CRM Plus subscription.

Refresh and Reactivate Your Apps

Once CRM Plus is active:
  1. Refresh your browser tab for any CRM Plus app.
  2. You’ll now see full access restored, including:
    • All your existing data
    • Module configurations
    • User permissions
    • Automation workflows
Because the data was never deleted during the downgrade, everything becomes active again under the CRM Plus plan. You can access the data in the respective applications.

Alert
But if you have any existing integrations/connections in your active subscription, those will get break. You might need to reconnect them manually.
