Users can now be restricted to check out only from the same source they used for check-in (Web, Mobile App, or Kiosk), ensuring accurate attendance tracking.
Restrict breaks during core working hours
You can now restrict employees from recording manual or automatic breaks in the system during their shift's core working hours.
Cover image permission
Control employee access to cover image updates. Admins can allow employees to use the system cover image or upload a personalized custom cover image, based on the permissions provided.
Timesheet overtime policy
Track your employees’ daily, weekly, weekend, holiday, and consecutive workday overtime hours based on their time log hours. Set overtime pay using regular RPH (Rate Per Hour) multiples or employee wage rates.

A faster and smarter way to add holidays
Easily browse and add region-specific holidays list with the new Holidays Gallery.
Just select a country to view relevant holidays and import with ease.
Dubai sick leave policy
Employees get up to 90 days of sick leave per year after a 3-month probation period, with full pay for the first 15 days, half pay for the next 30 days, and no pay for the rest.
This can be configured using the Leave Type Gallery.
Introducing operations tab for HR Help Desk
Handle all employee case requests in one place—view, assign, and resolve them quickly. Add cases for others via the Categories tab.
Track learning plan progress with ease
View all learning plans assigned to an employee, including completion status and total time spent. Drill down into individual courses to see detailed progress for each item, such as time spent, file type, status, and total duration.
Flexible manual start & stop for surveys
Launch surveys instantly upon publishing, and manage them effortlessly with the ability to pause or restart anytime using the Stop Survey / Start Survey buttons.
Weightage range for KRAs
Set a weightage limit for KRAs, allowing users to assign values within the defined range during assignment. For example, a range of 60–80 lets users allocate a weightage between 60 and 80.
SLA report
Track whether cases meet or miss SLA timelines, with options to filter by hours, days, or weeks. View detailed metrics like average residual time, average violation time, and escalation counts to monitor performance effectively.
Restrict goal progress updates during goal setting
Lock goal progress updates until goals are finalized to ensure accurate tracking from the start.
Zoho Projects integration sync error summary
Get clear, detailed reasons for sync failures during manual or automatic data import and export in the Zoho People and Zoho Projects integration.
Preference to show/hide Rate Per Hour (RPH)
Control who can view and edit an employee’s Rate Per Hour (RPH) in Timesheet service jobs and projects.
Limit maximum time log hours
Set daily or weekly caps on total billable and non-billable hours. Logging stops once the limit is reached.
Note: Use the timesheet overtime policy to track overtime hours based on time log hours.
Include non-billable hours in Payroll & Timesheet amount
Include non-billable hours in payroll reports and timesheet calculations—ideal for US compliance and businesses that pay for all hours worked.
Webhook enhancement - custom header parameters
Configure up to five unique custom headers in webhook settings to add extra data or securely transmit credentials (e.g., authentication tokens, API keys) in API requests. Header names must be unique (≤100 chars) and values ≤250 chars.
Introducing WhatsApp integration
Send real-time HR notifications directly to employees on WhatsApp. Improve response times for approval requests and stay connected on the go.
Decimal point accuracy for salary values
Employee pay amounts are shown with precision—up to two decimal places—for accurate and transparent calculations. Enable the round-off option only if you prefer values rounded to the nearest whole number.
Enhanced salary revision letter generation using Zoho Writer's mail merge templates
Easily customize letters and automatically include Zoho People field data for a streamlined, personalized experience.

View kiosk image captures in attendance summary
You can now view up to three months of kiosk image capture data directly from the Attendance Summary page for easy reference.
Hourly permissions beyond shift time
You can now allow your employees to request hourly permissions beyond their shift end time and within a grace period that is calculated based on the shift start grace duration.
Enhanced shift calendar
The shift calendar now includes employee leave data and highlights weekends and holidays with color codes.
Show or hide the attachment field in the time log form
Choose whether to display the attachment field on the time log form. This field is enabled by default.
Cancel past leaves within the current calendar year
You can now allow employees, managers, and approvers to cancel past leave requests if they fall within the current calendar year.
Leave-based event status for Microsoft 365 and Google calendar
Set statuses like Out of Office, Busy, or Tentative for each leave type. When leave is applied in Zoho People, the selected status appears in the employee’s Microsoft 365 or Google calendar.
Improves email deliverability with email authentication
Check email authentication status, access DKIM and DMARC details, and prevent emails from landing in the spam folder with Email Authentication.

Send appraisal letters to your appraisees automatically or manually after their final review is published. Simply enable the Appraisal Letter & E-sign options during appraisal cycle creation, add your appraisal letter template, and you're all set.

Create custom forms in the LMS service to capture specific user or service request details tailored to your needs.
Streamline profile photo updates with approval & bulk upload
Have better control over employee profile photo updates with the new approval workflow. Additionally, admins can save time by bulk uploading profile photos from the Employee Form.
Auto-generate employee IDs during import
Assign unique employee IDs while importing users into Zoho People. Simply include the ID rule code in the import file, and Zoho People will automatically generate IDs based on your predefined rules.
Credit break hours based on worked hours
You can now automatically credit break hours to employees based on the number of hours they've worked. Configure this setting according to your organization’s break and work-hour policies to ensure fair and consistent break time allocation.
Stay informed on skill set updates
You can now manage system notifications for skill set changes. Enable or disable notifications related to employee skill set assignments and upgrades.
Stay in sync with Zoho Calendar
Your leave and holiday details are now updated automatically in Zoho Calendar, no extra steps needed. Just log in and stay informed effortlessly!
Enhanced applicability for Policies and Letters
- Pay Period & Attendance Policy by Employment Type: You can now set up pay periods and specific attendance policies based on employment type (e.g., temporary, contract, full-time), for more effective policy setup for each workforce category in your organization.
- Enhanced Salary revision letter generator: Generate salary revision letters based on employee form fields like Legal Entity, Business Unit, Division, Department, and Reporting To. This helps you create more targeted salary revision letters.
Enhanced employee attendance status display
We have introduced new features to give you better visibility into employee attendance:
- Track Current In/Out Status: Easily monitor employees' real-time check-in or check-out status, including In, Out, Office-In, Remote-In, or Yet to Check-in—all visible on their Zoho People profile.
- View Early/Late Check-in & Check-out: Gain insights into attendance patterns with indicators for early or late check-ins and check-outs, now available in the Attendance Summary tab.
Ask your manager!
Employees can now submit HR help desk requests under the "Ask Your Manager" category, allowing them to reach out to their reporting manager for queries directly or guidance. This feature enhances communication and ensures a more efficient resolution process.

Ensure up-to-date and accurate attendance data sync for a better Zoho People Analytics experience.
"Cases" is now "HR Help Desk"
The Cases service in Zoho People has been renamed to "HR Help Desk". It also sees the addition of a new "Ask your manager" category.
Tailor translations to fit your specific needs and cultural context
Using the new Localization feature, it's now possible to easily customize system terminology, both default and custom, creating a truly localized and user-friendly experience. (This feature is currently available only for English-based regions)
Monitor workflow executions
Track all workflow executions in Zoho People within each service. The logs also includes real-time status updates. (This feature is currently available only for English-based regions)
