What is HTML5?

HTML5 animations and games in Zoho People transform traditional learning into a dynamic and engaging experience. This encourages learners to actively interact with the content instead of just passively consuming it.

Animations help simplify complex ideas through clear visual storytelling, while gamified elements like points, levels, and challenges boost motivation and retention. This entity in a course can also simulate real-world situations, allowing learners to apply their knowledge in a practical way.

Creating an HTML5 course entity

  1. Navigate to the module tab in an existing course (LMS > My Data > Courses > select a particular course > Module tab).
    or
    Create a new course (LMS > My Data > Courses > Add Course).



  2. To add an HTML5 entity, click + icon and select HTML5. 
  3. In the Basic Info tab, enter the name, duration and provide a description about the animation.
  4. Add the HTML5 file in the Attachment box.
  5. Enable Mark link as mandatory if you require the learner to complete this entity to complete the course. 
  6. Click Save.



  7. Additionally, you can lock the link until a specific date using the Lock properties tab and also add any additional resources in the Resources tab.



  8. Once the file is uploaded in the course, this is how the animation appears when the HTML5 file is opened.
