LMS Service Overview
What is LMS service in Zoho People?
The Learning Management System (LMS) in Zoho People is an online platform to facilitate different types of courses and chart out specific learning plans for your employees. LMS promotes continuous learning in your organization, allowing employees to upskill and improve their knowledge. A carefully designed learning plan (like a university "curriculum") in Zoho People's LMS can play an important role in an employee's career progression. Employee training is always vital, and it aids in the overall growth and development of the organization. In essence, LMS involves creating curated courses for your employees, evaluating employees on courses through tests, and awarding new skills and certificates to employees.
How is the LMS service useful, and who is it intended for?
- All Employees (General Usage):
Employees can enroll in courses, take tests within courses, gain new skills, and collect certificates. Employees can also share feedback on courses, initiate a discussion, and more. - Managers:
All the above actions. Additionally, managers can also suggest courses, enroll their reportees in courses, perform grading, and conduct manager evaluation. View courses and LMS reports. - Administrators:
In addition to what general employees and managers do, administrators have access to LMS Settings and LMS Operations, which facilitate managing and creating courses, learning plans, and preferences associated with LMS, such as setting up notifications, choosing the learning methods and type of grading system to be used in the organization, and more.
