Overview
The objective of this intergration is to seamlessly integrate Zoho People and Zoho Cliq. This includes employee-data such as their department, designation, attendance, seating information, etc to be accessible from Zoho Cliq, approving notifications from Zoho People directly in Zoho Cliq without the need of switching. Additionally, employees can check-in and apply for leave, view the status of their department members (check-in, remote-in, away, etc.). The integration also simplifies finding the right employees by listing department and designation when using "@mentions".
Enabling and configuring Zoho Cliq Integration
Ensure that you are signed into your Zoho Accounts in both Zoho People and Zoho Cliq and follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings > Marketplace > Zoho and click Configure on the Cliq Integration tile
- Click on Enable Cliq Integration
- Your integration will be enabled automatically. Futhermore, approval notifications can be enabled if required, choose the corresponding services and forms to receive approvals requests directly in Zoho Cliq.
- Click Save
Setting up approvals notifications in Zoho Cliq
This feature will be very benefecial for managers to directly be notified about any approval requests from Zoho People. Once enabled, managers will be able to approve, reject, forward approval requests directly within Zoho Cliq. This reduces the possiblity of missing any important approval requests and to ensure timely response.
To use this feature, ensure that the Zoho Cliq integration is enabled and follow the steps below:
- Enable Approval Notification within Settings > Marketplace > Zoho > Zoho Cliq tile > Configure
- Enable the services and forms from which you would like to receive the approval notifications.
- Click Save.
Managing approval requests from Zoho Cliq
Managers will receive a notification in Zoho Cliq via the Zoho People bot. On accessing the notification, managers will be able to Approve, Reject, Forward (if applicable). Clicking on "Access Zoho Poeple for more details" will navigate them to the request record in Zoho People.
Approver will be required to authorize by enabling Grant all permissions to Zoho People extensions in the pop-up dialgox box displayed when approving a request for the first time.
Integration Features
Check-in and Check-out directly:
Employees can check-in and check-out from Zoho Cliq.
- Manage approvals directly from Cliq:
Managers can approve and reject requests directly in Zoho Cliq. Be sure to enable approvals for the corresponding service and form to receive approval notifications directly in Zoho Cliq. You will be required to grant access when performing an approval for the very first time.
- View employee data fetched from Zoho People directly in Zoho Cliq:
Search for any employee to view data such as their reporting to, seating location, and status directly in Zoho Cliq
- Apply leave directly:
Employees can directly apply for leave from Zoho Cliq.
- View department members attendance status from Cliq:
See which of your department members have checked-in, are yet to login and more.
- View reportee attendance timeline from Cliq:
Navigate to any reportee's profile in Zoho Cliq, click on the Attendance tab to view the timeline views.
- Find the right person with ease when using @mention:
Shows designation and department info fetched from Zoho People when using @mentions within Cliq chat. Make sure you are reaching the right person even if they have a common name.
Troubleshooting:
Having trouble with this integration? Here are two things to check:
From Zoho Cliq, navigate to Profile (click user icon) > Admin Panel > Integration > Enable "Zoho People"
Additonally, navigate to Profile (click user icon) > Bots & Tools > and click Subscribe to "Zoho People bot"
