What is Operations in Onboarding Service?

Operations in onboarding is an administrator space to manage the onboarding process for Candidates and EmployeesFor more information on Onboarding service, refer to Onboarding Service Overview.

What can be done in Onboarding Service Operations?

  1. Candidate Onboarding Reports
    Invite Candidate
    Resend Invitation
    View Candidate Onboarding Status
    Mark Onboarding as Completed
    Convert to Employee
  2. Candidate Onboarding Records
    Actions available Upon Record Selection

Candidate and Employee Onboarding Process

  1. Define the Candidate and Employee onboarding flow for your organization in Settings > Onboarding, refer to Onboarding - Flows.
  2. Go to Operations > Onboarding and do the following steps.
  3. Invite and trigger the Candidate Onboarding process for candidates who have been selected for your organization, to collect essential details from them and to release offer letters.
    Idea
    You can skip the candidate onboarding process to add or import users directly into Zoho People, refer to Add Users Directly.
  4. Check and complete the checklist to ensure that the candidate has provided all the necessary information (optional).
  5. Upon completion of their onboarding process, convert them to Employee or Employee Profiles. Once converted, the record will be added to the Employee Information service.
    Idea
    Employees are users who will have access to Zoho People, while Employee Profiles will be added as records without access to Zoho People.
  6. Navigate to the Operations > Employee Information tab, select the record of newly added employees, and click Trigger Onboarding to initiate the Employee Onboarding process.
    Idea
    Date of Joining is mandatory to initiate the employee onboarding process.
  7. Upon initiation, based on their date of joining and designation, the Employee Onboarding process will begin. The date of joining is mandatory to initiate Employee Onboarding. You can click on the employee record and define their date of joining.
