What is Data Administration in Zoho People?
Data administration operation grants the administrator access to view import and export logs, activity logs, create data backups, copy customization between accounts, or create and manage sandboxes.
The Sandbox feature lets you create a secure virtual environment that allows you to test changes to forms, settings, workflows, and data without impacting the organization or the real live data. This can help administrators experiment with changes, ensuring a working implementation with the desired outcome before moving changes to the production environment, which can impact all users. Copy Customization can be used when an organization wants to create another new account and wishes to replicate many of the services and forms of the base account (the primary account).
Zoho People automatically logs data imported into the system as well as data exported from the system. Additionally, any edits, data additions, or configuration changes are also logged and are viewable from the Activity Log page.
Data Backup, as the name suggests, facilitates Zoho People data backups. It can be run manually or automatically based on schedules.
