1. Click Settings > View all > Developer Space > Widgets.
2. Click Create New Widget.
3. Enter the name and description of your widget.
4. Select the preferred Widget type.
6. To host the application internally:
a. Select Internal from the Hosting drop-down.
b. Click Upload.
c. Select the widget.zip file from the "dist" folder of your project to upload it. To learn how to develop an internal widget, refer to Create Widgets Using Zet-CLI Tool. d. Once uploading is complete, provide the Index Page URL of your widget application.
7. To host the application from external sources:
a. Select External from the Hosting drop-down.
b. Enter the URL of the website where the application is hosted.
8. To set the applicability to your widget, enable Based on role and select the roles.
The widget is accessible to the selected roles.
The widget will be automatically added to your dashboard.
3. To view and use your custom widgets, click Home > Dashboard, the widget will be displayed at the end of your dashboard view.
To add widgets in a related form:
1. Click Settings > View all > Developer Space > Widgets.
3. Once you have added your widget in Zoho People, click Settings > View all and click on the service to which the widget must be mapped.
4. Select Extend service > Forms.
5. Click on the form to which you need to map your widget.
6. On the Customization section, click on the ellipsis icon.
7. Select Related Forms Configuration > Widgets > Map Widget.
A list of available related list widgets appears.
8. Click Install on the corresponding widgets.
9. Once installed, click Save.
The installed widgets are added to the related form and will be available in your form record view.
10. To view and use your custom widgets, go to Operations > View all > service > related form, click on the record,
the widget will be displayed at the end of your record view.
To add widgets to a custom button:
1. Click Settings > View all > Developer Space > Widgets.
3. Once you have added your widget in Zoho People, click Settings > View all and click on the service to which the widget must be mapped.
4. Select Extend Service > Custom Button.
5. Click the dropdown and select Add Custom Widgets.
Add custom widgets dialog box appears.
6. Select the form name where your custom button widget must be added.
7. Select the widget to be invoked from the list of added button widgets.
8. Set applicability to your widget.
Widget will be accessible only to the applicable members.
9. Select the placement of your button widget and click Add.
In Record listing: Adds the custom button widget to the related form record listing page.
In Record view: Adds the custom button widget to the related form record view page.
10. To view and use the custom button widget, go to Operations > View all > service > related form, select or click on the record to view the custom button widget.
